Industrial Procurement

Industrial Procurement between Europe and Central Asia.

The right supplier, specified correctly, delivered on terms that hold

AETEK identifies and coordinates European technologies, manufacturers and suppliers for industrial customers in Central Asia — and helps European companies source components and materials from the region.

01 — Scope

What we source,
and what we do not.

We work on technically demanding industrial goods, where the specification decides whether an offer is comparable at all.

Typical requirements are production machinery, process and plant equipment, automation and measurement technology, spare and wear parts, energy and environmental technology, and the engineering or service packages that go with them. In most cases the difficult part is not finding a supplier — it is making sure that what arrives matches what the plant actually needs.

We do not run a catalogue and we do not resell from stock. We work from your requirement: clarifying it where it is incomplete, finding suppliers who can meet it, and making the offers comparable before anyone talks about price.

02 — Process

From requirement to delivery.

Requirement and specification

We go through the technical requirement with your engineers and close the gaps that would otherwise produce incomparable offers.

Supplier identification

A shortlist of manufacturers who genuinely build what you need — including the mid-sized European specialists that are hard to find from outside.

Supplier qualification

References, capacity, export experience into the region and the ability to deliver service — checked before the first quotation is requested.

Quotation comparison

Offers brought onto one basis: scope of supply, interfaces, spare parts, commissioning, training and warranty — not just the machine price.

Negotiation and contract

Prices, payment terms, delivery terms and guarantees — negotiated in the supplier's language and written so both sides read them the same way.

Delivery coordination

Coordination of documents, shipment, customs requirements and commissioning dates with your forwarder and the supplier, until the equipment runs.

Close-up · The corridor

Goods move both ways.
The specification travels first.

Every order passes the same checkpoints, whichever direction it travels. Most problems are caught at the first two.

03 — Both Directions

Who we buy for, and from whom.

Central Asia → Europe

For industrial companies in the region

Access to European manufacturers without the usual detour through intermediaries: specification support, supplier search, qualification and the full commercial process in Russian, German and English. Our representatives on the ground also speak the national language of their country.

Europe → Central Asia

For European companies

Sourcing of components, materials and services from the region, plus support with local content requirements when a project asks for a share of local supply.

Routes · Europe to Central Asia

How goods reach Central Asia, and how long it takes.

Two rail routes carry most freight between the EU and Central Asia. Which one a shipment can take depends on the goods, the sanctions rules that apply to them and the time a project can wait.

04 — Why AETEK

Technical understanding, not just a contact list.

Procurement across this corridor fails on details: a missing interface, an untranslated tolerance, a delivery term nobody checked.

  • We understand what the plant has to do.
  • We negotiate in German, Russian and English, plus the national language on site.
  • We work for the buyer, not for a catalogue.

Five questions — and where you would start.

Answer five short questions about your situation. The bars show which of the three ways to start fits best, and change with every answer.

1Who is buying?
2How well defined is the requirement?
3Do you have suppliers in mind?
4How large is the order?
5Who takes care of transport and customs?

0 / 5 answered

  • Specification and supplier search
  • Quotation comparison and negotiation
  • Procurement with delivery coordination

Your starting point appears here once all five questions are answered.

A first orientation, not advice. Before anything is recommended, we look at your case in detail.

05 — Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Are you tied to specific manufacturers?

In a procurement project we work for the buyer. Where we also represent a manufacturer in the region, we say so before that supplier is considered.

Can you handle spare parts and smaller orders?

Yes, provided they are technically relevant — spare and wear parts are often where a supplier relationship is proven before a larger investment follows.

Do you handle transport and customs yourselves?

No. Transport and customs clearance stay with specialists. We coordinate documents, terms and dates between the supplier, your forwarder and the plant.

What do you need from us to start?

The technical requirement — even an incomplete one — the intended use, the site conditions and the target timeline. We come back with the questions that need answering first.

More than a purchase? Industrial project development

Selling into the region instead? Business development in Central Asia
